Experience the high altitude desert of Upper Mustang…

Tour Overview
Upper Mustang, one of the most remote regions of Nepal. Known as the Forbidden Kingdom, tourists were only allowed in from 1992.
Tibet sits just a few miles from here. Highlights include visiting Muktinath temple, sat at 3840m, riding to the Chinese border and numerous remote mountain villages with links to Tibet.
We will also take the time to visit ancient Buddhist monasteries, a beautiful lake with mountains views and ride alongside the Kaligandaki River and Gorge (the deepest in the world) nestled between Mt. | Day 5 -10 you’ll be needing a down jacket in the evening for sure. The weather is warm and sunny in the daytime, however days 7-9 will also have some chill factor due to altitude whilst you’re riding so pack layers and winter riding gloves for this trip. For the majority of days summer riding gear is great – overall layers are key. |
